I’m getting to the end of the first draft of my next book which will answer at least some of the questions you’ll find at the end of my latest novel, The Lights of Cimarron.  If you haven’t read that one, you’ve still got a little time but don’t procrastinate too much.  You can check it out and purchase a copy for yourself (and a couple for friends) at the link below.

I don’t know if I’ll get to the end of the draft for the next book before the Cowboy Way and Randy Huston take off for Scotland.  We leave in less than two weeks and will spend eleven days over there, performing music AND filming the Scottish portion of our upcoming documentary on the history and journey of the Scottish Drovers from the Highlands of Scotland to the great American West.  Details are coming together in a slow and painful process but I think we’ll have it together by the time we get there (he says optimistically if a bit delusionally).  I’ve been to Ireland multiple times but this will be the first time I’ve had an opportunity to visit Scotland.  I can’t wait to meet the people, see the sights and try out the cuisine (by cuisine, I mainly mean beer and Scotch.
