On Thursday, October 11th, I’ll be doing the first in a series of concerts that I’m calling The Living Room Sessions. This first one will be in the Rio Rancho home of my friend, Joy Allen Burns. I’ll list her email link below so that you can contact her to RSVP, get directions, etc. Doors will open at 6:30 for snacks, beverages and desert and the music will start at 7. I’ll be doing two sets with a break in between. The first set will include songs of my choosing. I’m planning on doing some things most of you haven’t heard me do, at least recently, along with some of the tunes that I know people like. The second set will be your requests. You can request one of my original songs but you can request a cover song as well. It’s a good idea to email me ahead of time to give me a heads up in case you ask me to do something that I haven’t done in a while. In order to motivate you this first time, everyone who sends in an email song request will get a special treat at the concert. My email link is listed below so you can contact me with requests. There will be no cover charge. What I would ask is that you donate what you can afford and what you think is a fair and reasonable amount. If you’re a little short of cash next week, don’t let that stop you from coming. I won’t be eyeballing the tip bucket to see who does what. If you really enjoy the show, it’s okay to be generous. I’ll be doing some giveaways to make it a little more fun and interesting. Anyone who brings one or more guests who have never heard my music before will get a copy of either Headin’ Home or The West: Then…Now…Next (your choice). If you already have those CDs, take one and give it to a friend. This will be pretty informal…after all, we’re pickin’ in the living room.
