Headin’ Home – Jim Jones
Available on CD and Digital
“Headin’ Home” is the new 2018 release from award-winning singer/songwriter, Jim Jones. The album is Western-flavored, folk-influenced Americana with an overarching theme of finding your way home…wherever that might be.
There are eleven original songs (writes or co-writes) along with a great contemporary outlaw song from New Orleans songwriter, Kerry Grombacher and two folk classics- Four Strong Winds by Ian Tyson and Homeward Bound by Paul Simon.
The content ranges from the serious and introspective (“Headin’ Home” and “Where Did the Dream Go?”) to the light-hearted and whimsical (“More Meat for Me” and “Church of the Wretched Excess”). “Man of the Mountains” and “Colorado Calling” illustrate that songs can be “Western” even if they don’t have a cowboy in them.
