I’m taking off Monday for Lubbock for the first stop in my little mini-tour. Monday night, I’ll be at the Blue Light as part of a songwriter showcase which starts (I think) at 9 PM. The next day I’ll head on over to Houston and on Wednesday night, October 24th, my friend Brian Kalinec and I will perform, along with the Hardtime Troubadours, at JP Hops House as part of the Hard Times Soup Kitchen performance. We start at 7 PM and as you might have guessed, you can get free soup! Thursday night, October 25th, Brian and I will be on stage at the Logon Cafe in our hometown of Beaumont starting at 8 PM. Friday night, I’ll be performing with my buddy RW Hampton at Red Steagall’s Cowboy Gathering in the Fort Worth Stockyards. The schedule says we’ll be on from 5:30-6:30 on Friday evening. On Saturday, I’ll be joining Allan Chapman and Rodeo Kate at the Greenwood Store and Cafe in lovely downtown Greenwood, Texas. You can enjoy the music from 5-8 PM and the fried catfish all the way to closing time. On Sunday, I’m headed for Austin to re-join Brian Kalinec for Charlie Stewart’s Showcase at the New World Deli from 2-5 PM. The Sarah Pierce Trio and Randy Brown will also be performing. The picture I included in this is me and Allan receiving our Spur Award from the Western Writers of America for the 2017 Western Song of the Year (Halfway Down the Devil’s Road).
I look forward to seeing a bunch of old and new friends at one or more of these venues. You can look at my web calendar in the Events section of my website to get the specifics of location, etc.
